pdftex (v linuxu RH5.1) mi nefunguje cesky

Ahoj Vazena TeXova komunito,
uz zase mam problem. Pdflatex mi hlasi dost neprehlednych textu.
Krome spousty Overfull hlasek si to stezuje, ze neumi ceske deleni
(neco s Language=0 misto cestiny) a opravdu to pak blbe deli.
Misto akcentovanych znaku to vypisuje zobaky a nejake to pismenko.
A jeste to nadava na fonty.
Pokud se najde nekdo, kdo bude mit chut prohlidnout prilozany vypis,
budu rad, kdyz mi poradi, co delam blbe.
Ale stejny soubor prelozeny latex-em vygeneruje krasny dvi soubor.
Bohuzel pro dvi maji u nas spatne pochopeni, tak potrebuju pdf.
Kdyz udelam dvips (s upravou pane Olsaka) a pak ps2pdf, tak je vysledek
graficky prinejmensim ubohy. Vystup z pdftexu je krasny, ale ta cestina :-(
Poradte mi, prosim (celkem to specha).
