Hello Josef,
FYI, the new betatest release 1995.02.02 of TeXtelmExtel will
contain:
- an (optional) autosave feature,
- some kind of keyboard macros (via [Esc]-key)
- and some other nice things...

I have just uploaded it to CTAN, so it may take some days until it
will be available to the public. It comes with a file: 95_02_02.VER
to indicate the new version.
