AMS-LaTeX 1.2beta updates (fwd)

New versions of the following files have been posted to the AMS-LaTeX
1.2beta distribution at e-math.ams.org:/pub/ams/amslatex and will be
propagated to CTAN in due course:

  amscls.dtx
  amsfonts.dtx
  amsgen.dtx
  amslatex.bug
  amstex.dtx
  amstext.dtx
  eufrak.dtx
  euscript.dtx
  psamsfnt.ins
  romref.dtx
  technote.tex

The primary purpose of the updates is to make a few internal changes so
the affected packages will work equally well with the June 1994 release
of LaTeX and the imminent December 1994 release. But the following bugs
are also fixed at this time:

---amsart document class: (1) With multiple \thanks, only the first one
was printed, the remaining ones were omitted. (2) Spurious warning about
\@sect. (3) Uninitialized \sectionname caused a problem in
\tableofcontents if appendixes were present.

---amstex package: When used with `slides' document class, there was a
spurious error message for \overline.

Work is continuing on the non-beta release of version 1.2. It will
involve a few incompatible changes based on user feedback from the beta
release. We expect to get that release out in early January.
